Available in grits from 40 through 1000 - making them ideal for all steps in automotive refinishing - including: shaping filler, leveling primer, fine paint prep.

Grit Explanations / Examples of Usage:

• 80 Grit: Used for initial, aggressive sanding, such as removing rust, stripping old paint, and rough-shaping body filler (bondo).
• 150-180 Grit: Used to smooth out the deep scratches left by 80 grit, straighten body filler, and feather edges of existing paint. 
• 220 Grit: Ideal for 2nd-stage blocking of primer/epoxy & smoothing out scratches.
• 320 Grit: Used for final, light sanding of body filler or to smooth out 220-grit scratches before applying primer.
• 400 Grit: The most common, versatile grit for sanding 2K primer to a smooth finish before painting, as it leaves fine scratches easily covered by paint.
• 600 Grit: Used for final wet-sanding of primer to remove imperfections and create an ultra-smooth surface for base coat application.
• 800+ Grit: Primarily used for final sanding, particularly to refine the surface for high-gloss finishes and for sanding between coats of paint.
